Doug Ruby grew up in Tahlequah, located in the northeast corner of Oklahoma. He graduated from Tahlequah High School in 1989. He attended the University of Oklahoma where he graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Sciences in 1994. After working for the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality, Doug decided to pursue a degree in Veterinary Medicine. He received his DVM from Oklahoma State’s College of Veterinary Medicine. He worked for two years in a mixed animal practice south of Fort Worth, Texas, and has spent the last three years in a small animal practice in Mesquite, Texas, just east of Dallas.
Doug and Beth met in veterinary school. They were married in January 2002, and gave birth to their first child, Madeline Ruby, on April 22, 2004. They were excited to return to Oklahoma where they plan to offer the highest quality of veterinary care to their clients and patients at Quail Creek Veterinary Clinic.
